I’m a theatre, film and tv actor: more info at RebeccaHarris.biz I’ve been working professionally for over 20 years. After getting my MFA in acting at Columbia University, I got my equity card doing a Maria Irene Fornes play, Enter the Night, at Signature Theatre here in NY. After that, I primarily did new plays at regional theatres around the country. I was working frequently in Pittsburgh, PA so I moved there and I worked at various theaters including City Theater and I taught at Point Park University. After a few years, I moved back to New York and since then have continued to do some theater but more film and television. I played the role of Ledda Dobbs on WGN's Outsiders for 2 seasons. Also, I’ve done a number of projects with a fantastic British acting company called Improbable and I feel very much at home with them artistically. A few years ago I decided to split my attention between acting and teaching. I wasn't drawn to a university or a classroom setting. I've found my strength lies in one-on-one work. |
